Real-Time Video Calling Platform

Personal project

A WebRTC video conferencing platform built around Mediasoup's SFU architecture, designed to scale to 1M concurrent users. Built the signaling server end to end — RTP capability negotiation, WebRTC transport creation, and producer/consumer logic over WebSockets — plus the Next.js client that renders peer connections and media streams.

REST API backends built with Express and MongoDB covering sign-up, sign-in, and sign-out flows. JWT-based sessions, bcrypt password hashing, CORS handling, and schema validation, with configuration and secrets managed through dotenv across environments.
